June 6, 2018, one of the best days of my life! Before the trip I had a wishful thought that Joey would FINALLY get down on one knee and propose after 7 years of dating. We were going on a trip just him and I to Blue Ridge, Georgia for trout fishing, scenery, and a just peaceful getaway. We drove to the cabin and thank goodness we brought Joey's 4x4 truck because the hills up to the cabin were way too steep for my little corolla. When we drove up to the cabin it was perfect, small wooden cabin tucked off in the woods. The inside was just as gorgeous with a log cabin look that fit our outdoor personalities to a T. The first night we stayed in and planned what we would do the next day. The next day, also known as the BEST day! We drove to Chattanooga, TN to go see an underground waterfall. Not only was the waterfall unbelievable, so was the drive to get there. Windy roads, that almost made me sick, but the river and forest were too beautiful to notice so Joey would roll the window down so I could get some fresh air. After we saw the underground waterfall, Joey stopped at one of the riverbends where there was a gorgeous bridge and view of the river. Here comes the best part!!!! As we were walking around the river and jumping on rocks I would stare at Joey and just think he is so amazing and I am the luckiest girl in the world. When we made it to the bridge we took some pictures on it and I preceded to walk away, but someone pulled me back and when I turned around.............there he was, on one knee with the most gorgeous ring in his hand asking me to marry him! I could NOT contain my excitement, I could not believe it! I hurriedly said YES, put that ring on and gave him the biggest hug and kiss. I immediately could not stop staring at Joey and my ring. He did SOO good. So I did what any girl does, I took a ton of pictures and started sending them to everyone. The service up there was constantly in and out so I had to wait till we got back to the cabin to tell everyone the news. This was only the real FIRST full day of our trip and I was already on cloud nine. |
